CROWN
S A H A S R A R A
‘Thousand-petaled.’
This is the chakra of pure consciousness symbolised by a lotus with one thousand petals and represented by the colour violet. The crown chakra promotes the experience of mystical oneness. All phenomena are connected on many levels. Within this profound knowledge lies the possibility of deep peace, serenity and joy.
The pyhsical body, the ego, the mind are left behind for unconditional, non dual, luminous void of muchness. An over-active crown may produce a sense of superiority and separation from others. A blocked crown results in lack of purpose and a feeling of meaniningless leading to depression and physical and mental disorders.
