When you have a million thoughts running through your mind it can be hard to focus. Meditation helps you sort through and order those thoughts, which allows for focus on the task ahead.

AFFIRM: My mind is clear and my thoughts are focussed. I am ready for all the lies ahead and I do so with a clear sense of purpose.

THE PROCESS

  1. Take up a comfortable seated position. Close your eyes and speak the affirmation, aloud or in your head.

  2. Inhale to the count of four through your nose and say, ‘my mind is clear'.’

  3. Exhale to the count of six through your mouth and repeat ‘my thoughts are focussed.’ Repeat this ten times.

  4. Now bring a different focus to your practise by chanting ‘om’ or making and humming sound as you exhale.

  5. Keep inhaling slowly and using the exhale to feel the sound vibrations.

  6. End with the affirmation.
